How to Install Aluminum Siding
Firstly, you have to prepare the area and clean the exterior walls. Then, you install the underlayment, which is normally a foam board. It can be done with several sheets of nails.
Afterward, you have to add corner posts. The footer comes next, which is a part of the trim you have to place at the bottom of the outside walls. The next step is to add an F-channel trim on the eaves. You can place caulk on any openings to seal it perfectly.
Once you’ve done that, you have to get the window and door trims ready, meaning the J-channel. You can install the trim so that it coincides with the doors and possibly windows. Finally, it’s time to start adding your siding sheets. Start at the bottom and work up. Always interlock the bottom of each new sheet with the earlier ones.
