When Should You Call a Plumber?

There are a number of reasons to call a licensed plumber. A leaky pipe could be dripping all over your floor. This could cause a slipping hazard or for the floor to rot if not fixed quickly.

A clogged drain could mean dirty water splashes up on you when using the sink. The sink may not even drain at all if the plug is bad enough. One of the worst issues is if your pipes burst. This can happen when pipes freeze in the winter and then warm rapidly when warm water runs through them. These are all great reasons to call a plumber immediately. You will want to get this issues fixed before they grow into even larger issues. However, there are also cases where you can fix the problem yourself. One issue you can fix yourself is a noisy garbage disposal. This normally occurs when the blades are out of alignment. The result is a metallic screeching sound. To fix this issue, take a wrench and tighten the blades from the bottom entry point of the disposal. Turn the blades clockwise to tighten them.
